The current study analyzes the impact of recent macroeconomic policy shifts on the Jordanian labour market. One of the main lessons learned for Jordanian policymakers is that while conventional economic reforms, oriented toward stabilization programmes, may lead to some level of macroeconomic stability, they may not necessarily lead to a reduction in unemployment.
