책 소개
The European Union accepted the principles of ''flexicurity'' in 2007. Through analyses of comparative data from 14 countries (most in the EU) from the 1990s up to the early 2000s, contributors present perspectives on how workers and governments cope with rising demands for increased flexibility without trade-offs in job security and income. Muffels (socio-economics/labor studies, Tilburg U., the Netherlands) introduces these ''positive sum'' approaches per the transitional labor market approach derived from Blau and Kahn''s unified theory--as vs. a zero sum game approach--to a balanced relationship between job flexibility and security in studies of best practices and lessons from Australia, Canada, and Denmark. The volume is based on a TLM.Net network workshop titled "Supporting Labour Market Mobility and Dynamics." Annotation
